We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
Position Description
O-I TAX DEPARTMENT
Our tax department is responsible for the global effective tax rate, cash taxes, tax planning, and tax return compliance. We play a vital role in the structuring and vision of our global businesses. Our group consists of professionals in Perrysburg, Europe, Latin America, and Australia.
JOB SUMMARY
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Tax Analyst at our world headquarters in Perrysburg, OH. The position would entail assisting with the areas of tax accounting, compliance, controversy, and tax planning.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
(All other duties as assigned)
Tax compliance preparation of various federal, state, international, and property tax returns
Review of international operation provisions, FIN 48 positions, and global cash taxes
Provide support for global tax audits
Assist with tax planning to implement tax planning ideas
Assist with the implementation of transfer pricing initiatives, projects, policies, and procedures
Tax technical research and legislative and regulatory change updates
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or other related degree
Overall experience of 2
years with some exposure to international tax experience in public accounting
or industry; including at least one year of federal tax and tax provision
Preference for a CPA or advanced degree (MST/JD/MBA)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience using Corptax, HFM, or SAP a plus, but not required
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments to meet objectives
Ability to work well and communicate effectively within diverse teams
We are looking for team members who have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to deal effectively with peers and other levels and areas of the organization, are able to work in a team environment, are self-motivated with the ability to work in a multi-task environment, and have the ability to perform independently. In addition, we are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, have a tendency toward proactive process improvement, and possess strong computer skills.

This position reports to the Director of North America Tax

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
