We are currently seeking a Production & Quality Lead to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing and producing quality containers based on a production schedule that comply with quality requirements.
This position is responsible for coordinating all activities associated with Job Changes, Operation of the IS machine, Inspection Equipment, Hot End and Cold End processes, Packing and Packaging, based on all the quality requirements.
This position is responsible for the management of product quality, quality systems and quality process.
Provide feedback to the stakeholders based on production and quality of Innovation Center production to understand the future development of projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop/Maintain Job Change histories of the different projects run at the Research Facility.
Support of R&D projects through the safe and effective operation of the IS machine,
Inspection and other hot end and cold end equipment.
Provide input and data to the Research & Development (R&D) and Global Product
Innovation (GPI) teams on glass container designs, mould equipment related to
operational, quality and safety improvements.
Development maintenance and compliance to the requirements and policies for safety
and housekeeping associated with Forming, Lehr, Cold End, Inspection Equipment and
Packing room.
Ensure that the Research Facility personnel are effectively trained on safety, production, inspection equipment and quality. This includes quality training and guidance to lab technicians.
Identification of and compliance to required quality inspections, measurements, other
testing, documentation and reporting.
Investigation and communication of internal and external customers specific needs.
Management and coordination of lab technician resources relating to the Research Facility
Immediate review and reporting of quality results, criteria and procedures.
Communication of quality issues and quality summary report.
Review of trend analysis of data for systemic concerns.
Organization of root cause and corrective action activities and effectiveness.
Continual development and maintenance of the quality documents.
Management of gauge management, calibration and maintenance.
Preparation for customer visits.
Identify needs for process control and implementation.
Manage standard data collection process.
Establish and maintain Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
Evaluation of production performance at customer.
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
This position will support the key Global Technology, R&D and GPI projects. This position will focus on container development, forming processes, quality compliances and requirements and inspection equipment by operating and monitoring the Innovation Center production and quality process. This position will also enable conducting trials at manufacturing locations that involve changes in production process to support of the R&D projects.
Position Requirements
5
years of relevant experience in glass plant, including experience in Forming, Cold End, Quality, Quality Management, and Inspection Equipment.
Strong communication skills are required to communicate and collaborate with project teams.
Demonstrated computer skills (general PC knowledge, MS Office applications, SPC, engineering & scientific tools).
Preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position has a solid reporting line to the Research Facility Plant Manager and has a dotted reporting line to the Global Quality Manager.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 15% including both domestic and international.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
