We are currently seeking a Global Quality Manager to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
This position is responsible for evaluating global customer and industry quality needs, and for translating those needs into manufacturing requirements. It is also accountable for managing related documentation, communication, implementation, and verification. This position will deal with several levels of multi-national customers and will be the liaison between glass container plants, customers, engineering, and O-I corporate management.
Principal Accountabilities:
(All other duties as assigned)
Track, compile and analyze data from all regions to identify trends as well as anticipate and prevent customer complaints
Direct the use of global data to set goals, initiate projects and prioritize expenditures related to quality
Communicate quality issues, concerns and trends throughout the Global organization and direct efforts to the technical support departments
Assure the effective use of quality training materials, data analysis tools and skills throughout all regions
Analyze current and historical quality performance from all regions to identify industry issues and initiate plans globally to address trends
Manage multi-national customer relationships, global quality documentation and execution of strategic objectives and metrics
Mentor all regions in the use of quality evaluation tools, parameters and historical knowledge
Participate on company management teams regarding improving container quality performance
Develop and conduct global deep dive quality audits
Each incumbent will be assigned a specific project or area(s) of focus. Subject areas could include but are not limited to:
Quality equipment standardization
Developmental quality equipment evaluation
Capital Leadership Team liaison
Customer Service Engineer best practice development
Heavy metal test repository design
Regulatory compliance document standardization
Regional standards group liaison
New product development and marketing projects
R & D project liaison
BB/MBB projects coordinator product quality initiatives
SAP development implementation
Document standardization
Develop repository for quality specification compliance and exception approval documentation
Scope and Impact:
Incumbent will have input to capital expenditures for quality
The department will impact product loss (approx. $85 million); quality claim amounts (estimated at $50 million), and non-quality measurements such as rework and non-quality scrap.
Independent decision making regarding Global policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree (engineering preferred)
Masters Degree preferred
10
years combined experience and education
5-10 years experience in the glass industry but candidates may have experience in non-quality disciplines such as engineering or sales & marketing
LSS Black Belt/Master Black Belt certification is a plus
Food safety knowledge and/or certification is a plus
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Quality Systems. There are no direct reports to this position.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 35% travel-domestic and international (typically ranges between 15-25%)
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
