We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Specialist Windows Client Technology to join our Global IT team at our world headquarters in Perrysburg, Ohio.
POSITION
Summary:
This position is responsible for 3rd level support, maintenance, and management of O-Is global deployment of end user computers and technology. The goal of this position is to provide quality solutions and support by coaching and mentoring other team members and utilizing leading industry practices, procedures, and ITIL processes. This position assists with the operational coordination of global managed service providers ensuring that performance levels and SLAs are met.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
(All other duties as assigned)
Provides 3rd level support for O-I Global client operating systems, software and hardware
Coaches, and mentors technical specialists in O-Is strategic direction and technologies
Assists in maintaining the systems management solution for O-Is Global client systems
Ensures all approved OS and hardware platforms are certified, and delivered through the global software distribution solution, maintaining standards and documentation.
Works with O-Is Global hardware, software, and managed service providers
Build and develop cross functional relationships with other global IT support groups, especially in relation to hardware and software deployments
Maintain awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to workplace safety, discrimination, HR policies, quality and the environment
Manage and/or participate in IT and business projects, as assigned
SKILLS:
Virtual desktop and virtual server technologies
Application virtualization technologies (eg. HyperV, AppV and MedV)
General knowledge of network and storage technologies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows services
Microsoft Windows operating systems and core infrastructure services
Embedded operating systems and other mobile handheld platforms
Mobile device management solutions
Microsoft AD Group Policies
Operating system build automation and management technologies
Software deployment and packaging
Scripting and command line skills. Eg. PowerShell
Self-starter and strong collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Coaching and technical leadership
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
This position has global responsibility for the operations and support of O-Is client (Laptops, Desktops, Tablets and Mobile computing platforms) management system.
The team in which this position will work is considered the final escalation point for technology guidance, consultation, innovation, and troubleshooting.
Lifecycle management of the O-I client hardware and software delivery solutions
There will be no direct budget or people responsibilities for this position, however, the incumbent will have the responsibility of developing and writing funding requests for global procurement of hardware, software and associated IT Solutions.
This position will have project management and strategic planning responsibilities.
The focus of this position should be 70% project/architecture and 30% operations
Must be authorized to work in the country in which you are applying for a position. O-I will not fund or manage the process of obtaining any required work authorization.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology or related discipline.
Five (5) or more years with managing PCs and client/server platforms infrastructure at the enterprise level
Demonstrated experience with client and server virtualization technologies
ITIL Foundations Certification is required
Microsoft infrastructure eg. SCCM, Active Directory, Server, Virtualization, DHCP, DNS
Experience in multiple infrastructure platforms (Windows, Unix, Storage, Backup, Messaging)
Experience transforming, implementing and managing server or client platforms, software deployment and related technologies
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Manager Global Client Technology
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Domestic and international travel may be required for this role:
- Domestic 5%
- International 5%

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
