Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history in the electronic health record Document exam findings and treatment plans for physicians (commonly referred to as scribing) Contact patients with lab results and schedule surgical appointments as requested Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Prepare biopsy specimens to go to the appropriate laboratory Skills Experience as a medical assistant preferred Excellent attention to detail required Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task required Credentials required, such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, etc.
